Welcome to ECampus. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). The App is an exclusive network designed for the students of B.K. Birla Night College.

To provide our social networking services, we collect the following types of information:

• Personal Data: When you register, we collect your Full Name, Email Address, Student ID, and Course details.
• User-Generated Content (UGC): Any text, images, polls, or event details you post to the feed, as well as your comments and likes.
• Profile Information: Optional data you provide, such as your bio, profile picture (avatar), and links to external social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn).

2. Device Permissions

To enable core features, the App requests the following Android device permissions:

• Camera & Media Storage: Required to allow you to take photos or select existing images from your gallery to upload as profile pictures or feed posts.
• Notifications: Used to alert you about new connections, likes, comments, and campus updates.
• Network State: Required to connect to our secure databases and load the social feed.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell your data. We share data only with strict, secure third-party infrastructure providers necessary to run the App:

• Supabase: Used for secure user authentication and database hosting. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Cloudinary: Used for compressing, storing, and serving image uploads (such as avatars and post media).

4. Data Security & Retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. We retain your personal data and content only for as long as your account remains active. You may toggle your account to "Private" at any time to restrict who can view your profile and posts.

5. Your Data Rights (Account Deletion)

You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data. You can initiate this process by visiting our Data Deletion Page. Upon request, all personal data and user-generated content will be permanently erased.
